Christina is a historian with a background in transnational European history with a special focus on migration and port cities. Educated at Sciences Po, she obtained her PhD in 2014 at Humboldt University with a dissertation on constitutional change and education reform in late nineteenth century France, Belgium and England. She held postdoc-positions at the Centre Marc Bloch (Berlin), the University of Marburg, the Institute for European History (Mainz), and at the University of Gothenburg. Since September 2019, Christina is a postdoctoral researcher at Stockholm University within the Pleasurescapes-project. Her case study investigates the relationship between pleasure culture and mobility in the port city of Gothenburg between 1880 and 1940.
